Command An Army Evolve & Ascension Guide

Read upgrade requirements, plan duplicate use and protect your equipped squad before using Evolve or Ascension in Command An Army.

Reviewed · Independent fan guide

Distinguish the Evolve and Ascension upgrade menus before confirming a change. Inspect the current requirements, result and selected inputs, then preserve the equipped roles your army needs. Read both previews separately and make one deliberate upgrade.

Community reports describe separate Evolve and Ascension menus, with copies used in Ascension. Inspect the current requirements in each menu and review which equipped roles will remain covered afterward.

Review each part before confirming

  1. Pick an entry you use

Identify its job and the problem you want to improve. Settle whether you can equip it before investing more.

  2. Check its current state

Read the exact name and level or mastery labels. Copies may have different progress; do not choose by name alone.

  3. Read each locked requirement

Inspect the two screens independently. Identify which labelled progression value a requirement refers to instead of substituting a remembered milestone.

  4. Inspect every selected input

Check names and quantities requested by the confirmation. Keep copies you have not evaluated rather than deleting them to clear space.

  5. Plan the loadout afterward

Consider any role lost through the process. If the result shows a star cost, compare it with the cap available to you.

  6. Confirm one change and verify

Inspect the resulting troop and remaining resources. Recheck equipped entries before another upgrade so you can understand each action’s result.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming both menus share a requirement. Read them separately.
  • Discarding copies without checking their use. Inspect the current recipe first.
  • Upgrading without a loadout plan. Review what remains usable afterward.

Questions before you play

Evolve or Ascension first?

No universal order is established. Compare the two current previews with the troop you intend to use.

Why is it locked at level 20?

Community reports mention level 20 without consistently establishing its type. Check whether your screen means commander, troop or mastery progress.

Can I delete duplicates?

Check upgrade needs and each copy’s existing progress first. Keep it until you understand what you would give up.

Which troop should I upgrade first?

Consider one you can equip for a clear job. Compare its preview with your observed problem, rather than automatically choosing the highest-star entry.
